First, doesn't seems like you have an idea how much is built between the two, not only emotionally but also physically and mentally. And I'm guessing especially for gay couples in a society that still rejects and debilitates homosexuality.

On top of that yes, he caught them twice but then his partner comes back and ADMITS he made a mistake?? Regardless if that guy truly as remorse or not, MC feeling conflicted is only normal.

And no matter what, it always takes time to process and go through the phases of grief. But you know what they say huh "easier said then done" 🤷🏼♀️
