@Mayaaa i was in a similar situation, I love in Europe and a guy liked this lived in Oregon, I stayed up NIGHTS just to talk to him. It really fuxked up my schedule bc I have to wake up at 6 am but whatever. 
Your guy seems nice maybe keep talking (and ask for his pictures so you would know if it's him or Pinterest) and maybe keep talking, if he's nice, sure, if he gets weird, block him 😘😘
