It's kinda heartbreaking that the author had to make Jo come between Ian and TJ. From the start it was never gonna be Jo and in chapter 98 Jo realized the Ian was never gonna pick him and his heart was never with Joseph. 

Now I'm asking myself what was the point of including Jo. Was it to show TJ that he can lose Ian if he doesn't act right or to let Ian  experience life that is different from his past and give him the courage to move on.

Moral of the story don't include yourself in people's situations or relationships. You may help them but that doesn't mean they will stay with you. It's just a world of pain and rejection

The concept of this story was great but the execution was terrible. It had more potential.
