If you're unfamiliar with c-dramas, especially the "Short Dramas" that you can find on certain yt channels, a lot of them have exactly the plot of the "Dragon Lord", the "G** of War" or "Asura King" who is incredibly powerful and important to the empire, but who for whatever reason married into a family of ordinary business people, kept his identity secret and helped them become successful behind the scenes, all the while pretending to be utterly useless and being scorned by the family.
Then there's a scene like this, or the wife serves him divorce papers, he gets even more insulted and kicked out of the family, so he severes all ties to them.
Then at some event he reveals his identity, they don't believe him, so more and more powerful people, and always at least one governor, show up to prove his identity, or call him fake, and this goes back and forth for like 2 hours until all the families who mocked him are ruined, and the MC marries the one girl who always believed in him, usually the sister in law or cousin who was probably adopted.
This plot is so incredibly common that if you've watched one of these dramas you've literally watched at least a hundred of them. This arc is a parody of this.
