@LiveLaughLoveADO He probably didn't want to hurt her. We saw him clinging to someone and they probably left giving how he reacted. He didn't want to inflict that pain on her after seeing how anxious she already was about the situation.

@Klein_moroti it said in a earlier chapter that he was 18, and I don't know about his current body's age but he doesn't have any memories of being in this body so wouldn't that still make him 18?

@DarkStar She might feel like she's stealing especially with that amount which would definitely be against a lot of people's faith. Though I don't know what her faith is so I could be wrong.

@fleuscent If you've ever been in a toxic relationship where your partner makes you think you can't do anything without them or in her case where he manipulated her into thinking he was a G**. You don't just get over it, it takes months or sometimes years to finally be able to get out of that mindset to think that is love. It is honestly impressive writing for her character to be doing all this after all that abuse. She is working hard, but he is also a manipulator who does anything to get his way.
