@Princess

@Princess so true. Believing in jesus or god is like having an imaginary friend who governs how you and others should be 24/7. I know certain things are good lessons as said in the bible but can’t we be kind and not hurtful towards others because we should treat everyone as equal not because some book said so?

@Alexx The Christian Bible, particularly the New Testament, contains passages that have been interpreted as endorsing women’s subordination. These texts were written in a patriarchal context and reflect the social norms of their time. However, the way they were selectively emphasized and interpreted by church authorities played a significant role in justifying systemic oppression.

For instance, passages such as 1 Timothy 2:11-12 (“Let a woman learn in silence with full submission. I permit no woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she is to keep silent”) and 1 Corinthians 14:34-35 (“Women should be silent in the churches”) have been used to exclude women from leadership roles. These texts, attributed to Paul, became foundational in shaping the theology of gender roles.

@Alexx stop spreading that colonialist propaganda. Christianity and religion as a whole is used to justify the oppression of others AKA people of minority. They are only thought of as a minority BECAUSE of the belief that specific groups of people are superior than others which is stated in the bible, ie As the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit in everything to their husbands.” – Ephesians 5:24 and Your male and female slaves are to come from the nations around you; from them you may buy slaves. You may also buy some of the temporary residents living among you and members of their clans born in your country, and they will become your property.” – Leviticus 25:44-46.

We should all be like atheists for their beliefs and morals are not governed by an imaginary god but by their own compassion
