@YalnizimDosti I don't know why Korean authors always write r*e as Romance shame most of them they would have an amazing Arts . Atleast Japanese write their stories as dark horror with trauma in their mangas which is I like but I like manhwa Arts more really a shame lol. I can't blame you dropping it .

@YalnizimDosti I can accept that Grace was manipulated by the rebels. She was raised in that environment and genuinely believed in the cause. What I struggle with is that the story presents her as highly intelligent, observant, and capable, yet she misses red flags that a trained spy would normally be expected to notice. Being idealistic and being perceptive aren't mutually exclusive. I admire her commitment to freedom and equality fighting with the revolutionaries against a fascist regime, but after being betrayed by the rebels and abused by Leon, I expected her to become more pragmatic. From a survival perspective, using her father as a temporary escape route from an active abuser would have made more sense to me than remaining trapped in Leon's orbit. That doesn't mean her father was a good person,it means immediate safety comes first. My issue isn't that Grace has flaws. It's that the story sometimes tells me she's exceptionally strong and strategic while showing her making decisions that seem driven more by the author's desired romance outcome than by her own intelligence or survival instincts

Of course the author will try her best to make Grace's father bad ,in order to let her stay with her rapist .Even so leaving with her father might have been the lesser evil, if that meant immediate escape from Leon’s active abuse.why? Leon was a constant, inescapable danger. He controlled, assaulted, and psychologically broke her down. Her father, while a terrible person for what he did to her mother, wasn’t actively harming Grace at that time , he represented past danger, not immediate torture.So from a purely survival and safety perspective (not emotional or moral), it would make sense to take any route out , even one that’s imperfect or unsafe long-term , to stop the ongoing abuse first.
It’s a tragic “pick your poison” situation, but escaping an active abuser always comes first. Healing or confronting family trauma could only happen after she’s safe

@sophieeee I never said it isn’t romanticized; I said that’s exactly what I’m criticizing.
The problem is the story frames abuse as a love story for the endgame, which is literally romanticizing it.

The chapter crosses from dark fiction into outright sexual violence, inserting substances where they don’t belong, then framing forced impregnation as punishment or romance. What’s more disturbing is how quickly some readers excuse it. Normal reactions question consent, harm, and consequences. Defending this kind of behavior suggests a serious disconnect from empathy and an unsettling comfort with violence.

Leon punishing Grace by raping her and proudly serving a fascist royal regime is already wild enough, but then he goes and treats his father’s sadistic ideology like it’s some family heirloom he’s obligated to uphold. Instead of questioning the system that literally created his violence, he doubles down and calls assaulting her part of his “righteous mission.” Honestly, if that’s what justice looks like in their kingdom, no wonder the rebels took one look and said “absolutely not” and chose violence.
