novel spoilers(?)
yohan makes mc an outcast at school. he humiliates mc during their classes and basically tempts mc. for me, this arc was extrememly annoying but somehow understandable. yohans actons and thoughts were somewhat valid to some extent. sure he wanted to get back at mc for what he did in front of his family, but to make mc an outcast already knowing mc is an extremely prideful person that does not enjoy humiliation, constantly, over and over again is a disgusting move. the way yohan tried to "make up" with mc was offputting as well. not sure if this was in the manhwa, but in the novel during the scene in his house (season 1 i believe when their relationship started going downhill), yohan said "it's over". mc brings this fact up to yohan when he kept bothering him and he gets really annoyed for some reason. to sum up this bullying arc kinda, yohan torments mc socially and mentally. mc hates himself for still being drawn to yohan and constantly thinking of him despite whathas happened and what he has done to him.

Next 2-3 chapters pretty sure they go home by car and xinlu starts sulking because yuri was upset at his behavior (yuri even needed to buckle/unbuckle his seatbelt for him TAT) he starts to apologize to yuri and reflects on his behavior. this is such a jump from the beginning of the novel/manhwa, as in the beginning xinlu was an uncontrollable person and tends to lash out without thinking for others and neither thinks about the consenquences. now under yuri's care (?) he grows more mature. yuri, in my opinion, is so selfless as he was willing to face xinlu head on when his temper was off the radar and was willing to take on xinlu's emotional trauma.

novel spoilers!!

xinlu may be acting sorta a b** right now but he slowly learns to be more and more considerate of yuri's feelings. this one scene later on shows xinlu practicing his ruthlessness for the sake of the wine industry which will soon be passed down to him and he beat a guy to a pulp and yuri saw. xinlu starts apologizing to yuri saying he shouldnt have done that and was really worried with what yuri would think. he now basically lives for yuri's validation on things and does his best not to upset him. despite xinlu still having traces of taeui in his head, his heart is leaning to yuri and growing much more dependent on yuri. yuri was like the light to xinlu in his time of darkness.

@Cookie On the site i read it on, chapter 25 of the manhwa is near the end of chapter 9 of the novel (in the bud 1) so you should continue from the end of chapter 9 and move onto chapter 10 (in the bud 2)

@Elise i read the novel a while ago so im not 100% sure if these info are correct and in order but it pretty much goes uphill from here. Xinlu would become really obsessed w yuri and doesnt want to lose him to anyone. yk the contract made between xinlu and yuri, it was only for a year and when the year was nearing, Xinlu was pretty much begging Yuri to extend the contract date. (xinlu locked yuri in their house so yuri couldnt leave once their contract was over) At some dinner party, yuri let his niece (?) (not blood related but ling tingyuan's daughter but they call yuri uncle) sit on his lap cuz there werent any place to sit and shes lady like so she wouldnt sit by the window area and bruh xinlu was staring dead at yuri mad as he** n stuff. xinlu caused some ruckus at the dinner party thing (i think it was a bday (?) and yuri was kind of upset and xinlu noticed it and xinlu was like "im sorry dont be mad i hate it when someone who usually doesnt get mad does get upset" (something like that) and was acting like a big baby to yuri. also remember how xinlu hates the person who didnt save him when he was drowining (the person was yuri) he found out and ig he wasnt exactly that mad (?) i think he already figured it out?? there is a freaky scene maybe ~10 chapters from now and i thinkg 2-3 more freaky scenes after that. to sum things up, yuri and xinlu's relationship goes uphill from here, xinlu grows super attached to yuri not wanting to let go and even thanks taeui that he didnt choose him because there was someone who cared so much about him out there. (sorry if what i wrote is super confusing, the things i wrote arent in order too!)
