Also, considering that radiation from the sun is what causes heat on earth and that both the sun and certain types of light sources are made of plasma I wonder if she'd be able to control plasma hich would allow her to burn through basically anything.

@Shin Don't forget, illusion magic and invisibility. Plus you can use light magic for other more mundane purposes, such as sanitation ultraviolet light, x-rays, sterilization via radiation and photography/videography. Also I can't help but wonder if a light affinity user would be able to essentially cast sunscreen.
