The more I learn about Tehir, the more I detest the guy. And Kimoto doesn't seem to be any better. Sure, Jin was messed up too, but he is the Heart and sits mostly on a form of curiosity. He also dislikes Tehir and now we know why. Both Tehir and Kimoto are extremely self-centered and mentally messed up in comparison. And when Jin lost his memory, we saw that he was kind and relatively smart if the pump was any indication. It was due to Charin's influence that he dumbed down a lot. Who knows where Jin would be today if he hadn't met Charin, but landed with builders like those guys. 5 years advantage over the others, he'd probably be a freaking genius, building all sorts of stuff.
Anyway, pretty sure Jin or one of the others is going to jump in and stop them from killing Kimoto.
I feel like this is just a jumbled mess of memories, fears, and doubts, creating nightmares that feel terrifyingly real. Question is what are the memories and what are the fears? Can't forget that Nain was against the sacrifices, so watching himself go through that...
Also, why do I have the feeling that that incense isn't what it's supposed to be...? It's too much of a coincidence that Nain would have these nightmares now, of all times. Unless he wakes up and says "again" or something. We'll see.
@Galaxy Sounds reasonable, though, I had a tab open on MangaBuddy, and it's still working fine. In fact, that's where I'm replying right now. Though, there are a lot of BadGateway alerts for a few days now, so maybe that's it?

Probably not her real blood mother, but perhaps a maid sent to protect the child once they found she was blind.
On the other hand, given that Theo is a Regressor and has created many variables like the war happening sooner, Axion's death, and so forth, it's possible he's someone who, with his own death, now stands outside the ring of fate and can influence its flow once he knows where it's supposed to go. Hilda could have done the same, but her greed kept her shackled and bound, so she wasn't even able to change her own fate until the very last cycle. Let's not forget that Theo's drive to change things is to protect those he loves and cherishes, taking responsibility for their safety, while Hilda, the Mad Dragon and probably every other regressor Kyle has offed only worked for their own selfish goals.
If this tower's successor is either someone from Jianghu or someone who enjoys reading stories about it, then it'll confirm a theory I have on the tower's inside and how they function.
Basically, since the towers are nothing more than a relay system to uphold Eshua's world inside a different one, their entire structure is manipulated by the thoughts and desires of whoever conquers them and decides to stay. The first tower was a dark, dead place like the guy playing in there. Belzar's tower was more a game-like dungeon because of Evan's interference. I wonder how much of this will stick.
As for the people, it's entirely possible they were forced into player roles and when they started to run dry, Eshua forcefully brought others from other worlds to play and maintain the towers for her.
@Kat Either they await a worse fate or it's their families and loved ones shoved in by force. Regardless, it feels like it's something they can't win, unless they properly rally together. But if that mother's speech was any indication, they are so indoctrinated in the believe that if they're good and follow the established rules, they get rewarded by long life. However, I have a feeling that even that's not exactly the case and this whole "ascension" is just utter shíte to keep people complacent and obedient.

Seems that unlike the others, MC did have a type of relation with the Smiling Demon. But were they really friends or is that just an expression? I really hope this doesn't get axed... it's too amazing to die.
The following interaction is going to be hilarious! But maybe Rider now learns that he's not the Mom, that role is Miria's, but the Dad, a role equally important to a child's healthy development and stable growth!
He also needs to think about his family's safety and everyone who created ties with him. Given how scrupelous they are, they won't bat an eye to eliminating them just to keep him down. A big mistake, no doubt, as they'll unleash a demon never seen before who'll raze their entire existence from the space-time continuum.
The reason he cried is because he understood how he went from being all alone sitting on a hill by himself, to having not only friends, but a big and loving family that would move worlds for him. As Perrito once said, getting a family is the biggest luck an orphan can get.
Please, excuse me, I need to go catch my heart, it just fluttered out the window on that carrying panel. The cute family vibes was just too strong to handle
This could end here and it would be perfection. Such a cute story, not just for a little boy in search of a family and home, but also creatures learning the value of love and companionship, as well as motherhood and what it truly implies. In Portuguese, there's a saying: Parir é dor, criar é amor
It translates to: To give birth is pain, to raise it love
It means that just because you pushed out a child, doesn't make you a parent. Loving them, no matter what, and doing the impossible for them, while becoming a better person yourself for their sake, is what makes a parent. Even if you're not of blood.
"Best interest and happiness" my foot! If that were the case, just let the child go to where it felt safe! Back to Mama Miria, Big Brother Rider, and Floating Aia!
@strawberry_boys Medical Knowledge did not exist, especially on female anatomy. And all she wanted was to help, she wanted to show Riftan that she was not a child as he would always coddle and baby her, never acknowledging any of her efforts. Plus, she was worried, she never wanted to go to the battlefield, she just wanted to make sure everyone was ok and then head back, but circumstances changed that and her staying ultimately saved everyone.
They've been trying for over a year and nothing, of course she wouldn't realize it as she wouldn't be able to read the signs for the reasons I mentioned. But hey, if you want so desperately to be right, sure, have it, I don't argue with pidgeons.
