So, wait, they just sell off something that wasn't theirs to sell in the first place? What? ... I hope the one who bought it was the Duke to surprise Rensley. That would be adorable of him. I should try and read on the novel.
I hope Cero mops the floor with him good. I also hope Centipede is ok...
A Hero is someone who puts the well being of others above their own. Someone who moves forward when others are turning back. Someone who carries the weight others have dropped. Who walk along the path no one else dares to step upon, taking it to the end, no matter how difficult it is.
A hero is someone who uses their strength to protect others solemnly out of the kindness of their heart.
I really... REALLY... háte this guy
Yeah, I knew this would be weird... I'm going to wait for the next few chapters to upload and skip this... basically borderline r@pe... Nain does not deserve any of this... and I feel that snake of a priest is behind it too...
So what is happening right now:
Rosetta is giving Maxi and Anatol a heads up of what their father is doing. She's saying "so pops wasn't too happy about the beating, so in his small minded dícklessness, he suck it up to the king, but is secretly building a force to attack you. Go time is my wedding, so that's your clock".
Why she didn't say that to Riftan? Well, he's brash and would not withdraw the declaration, as she rightfully assumed. Plus, Agnes was there too, so that would create a conflict of interests. If Rosetta becomes Crown Princess, she gains a very strong position to fúck up their father for good, but right now, she needs to play the game. Putting Agnes in an awkward position would help no one.
If Maxi knows and speaks to Riftan, they can build their own force and let the Duke throw first punch; then they can claim they acted out of defense and raze the place to the ground without fear of consequence.
Question now is whether Maxi will regrow her lost spine and make Riftan understand that they just got dealt a really valuable hand and any rashness will put everyone involved in danger, most of all Rosetta since she's still in that hellhole. She clearly doesn't care if the land burns as she just said "the land I live in", not "my home" or something; it was a simple "please don't destroy this house I currently live in", but very effective in reading between the lines that she loves that land as much as having someone devour her heart while she watches.
I just hope in all this that Maxi can put her foot down and talk to Riftan, make him see what a golden opportunity they got, and make it work.
Ooohhh I hope Charin went off to look for Jin!
Anyway, glad this arc is finally over. And the ending wasn't so bad.
Bro!!! And here I was all happy thinking we're getting Side Stories!!!
Remember when this was about a commoner kid wanting to learn magic because he read about it in a book his father gave him? Yeah... good times. Simpler times.
Whether meeting Miro was fate or not, it definitely changed Shirone's life forever.
You know, the increasing predictability in the story is starting to feel boring... MC becomes High Elf. MC becomes Saint and saves everyone. MC becomes ultimate evil and plays a game. Mc becomes supreme vampire (yeah, bet a lot of you forgot about him). MC becomes ultimate warrior. And heck, we haven't even gone through the dwarf, as well as the merchant yet. OPed characters tend to be boring at some point due to their predictability and plot armour, like nothing can defeat them, no matter what. And here, we're getting a whole bunch of them, all tied to one guy on a borderline ego trip for self-proclaimed justice.
Don't get me wrong, I still like the story and will continue reading, but the moments where I sigh and say 'that's going to happen, isn't it?' only for it to happen is going up as well... so beware of potential nagging.
His tastebuds must be so damaged from all the spices that he thinks a proper meal is made with magic, someone help, I'm dying!!!
"I knew you would betray me", now, hold the phone there, buster, you made the first move to have them permanently removed from the roster, how can you talk about betrayal? And how can you be píssed at Gal for him having dealt with you when you're the ones who tried to do it first?
I really love the hypocrisy of these guys, kinda like "I can punch you, but don't punch me back or I'll tell my mom!"
I am so weirded out right now... not because of the incoming smút, but because the atmosphere just feels... wrong...
