Not to mention the VR settings just randomly "malfunctioning" for her and her brother? So much lore and world building that just got unaddressed. It's like the author was just tired of writing the story and decided to just slap something cliche together at the end. 

Honestly really upsetting for such a good read otherwise

@Bambi Agreed. I really liked it but some loose ends like what the heck happens to their real life bodies and the "magic" of the book writing itself was never explained. I did like most of the story and the women empowerment part tho so I'll give it that.

@nicci Right? Like even at this point if he had fought off her attacker and then nodded for her to continue as he had her back, even just that would be enough to start his redemption. But he still views her as some fragile, weak woman who can't protect herself as if she doesn't know what she's doing. He's so annoying.
