Wait a sec... Marin is supposed to dress up as a boy for this pageant. So why did she choose Rei?
Why cosplay as the one character from a series that's not even a boy, but a girl dressing up as a boy? Doesn't that mean Marin is cosplaying a girl character? Isn't that against the rules?

Also, this shoujo manga sounds more like a shoujo ai than a reverse harem, though that could just be me....

@Kuraiken I mean, to be fair to both of our arguments, Amane's situation is clearly being softcored by the writer. They obviously want to show Amane as a victim of past bullying to explain his current mindset, but simultaneously are too scared to portray real bullying. I'm simply going off of the writer's intent and calling it "bullying".

Even applying your stance, the "teasing" still feels weird to me. Whether you consider his height or not, Amane has a face that would incite jealousy rather than mockery. Maybe if the writer made the teasing originate from jealousy, they would have no choice but to show some real bullying....

@iaminurcloset Our protagonist, Yoohan, used to be a thug who worked as a loan shark to pay for his mother's hospital fee. He was so dedicated to the job that he was fine with threatening one of his customers with their child's life. As revenge, said customer kills Yoohan's younger brother.
Before this death, Yoohan's ex, the current spoiled actor Myeong-shin, was planning to steal his earnings and leave, but the vengeful customer broke into their apartment wanting to kill Yoohan. Myeong-shin tells the guy about Yoohan's brother and how it would be more effective to kill him for revenge, which is how the customer finds them.
After his younger brother's death, Yoohan also finds out that his money was taken by Myeong-shin, and these two events essentially set him straight. In the present, Yoohan still wants to earn enough for his mother's hospital fee, but this time, without taking any jobs that may bring more harm than good. He almost feels like he's changed for the better.

That is, until he finds out how Myeong-shin basically caused his younger brother's murder, meaning he betrayed him twice. Now, Yoohan wants to get revenge on Myeong-shin and becoming an actor will be his ticket to that. Does this help?

Nah, I don't understand those people that bullied Amane in high-school. THAT'S HOW HE LOOKS NATURALLY?! How do you look at that and not see him as a man??? Even in this artstyle, and even though his height's below average, you don't look at THAT and think, "Welp, time to emasculate." He looks like a stud!

...Imagine if those students saw Deku... omg...

@imnothere Not necessarily. I'm still here because I'm too much of a completionist. I want to see everything this series has to offer before I can fully criticize it fairly. In spite of that, I don't like any of the main characters, I hate their dynamics, the story constantly finds new ways to disgust me, and I feel bad for the younger siblings and their grandma.

I'll admit it's taking a LOT of willpower to finish this, but once I've seen enough, I will stop knowing the full extent of this story's wretchedness.

@BeyondParasolTrees Funny you say "little details", because that actually is an important detail. No matter how much you may like a certain dynamic, readers are not obligated to get attached to a relationship if they don't see how it was formed and strengthened. In fact, that information was the one puzzle piece I needed to be fully attached to their friendship, so not getting that is pretty disappointing.

19 Days - Ch. 364
Is the writer aware that Tian directly contributed to Mo's inferiority complex, not just because he's popular, rich, and an honor student, but also because he literally kept pushing Mo around... and threatening him to do what he wants... and beating him up if he refused... and generally forcing himself into Mo's life...

Like, before you ask Mo to open up and trust Tian, you need to admit that Tian is partially at fault for this because he's making it seem like being friendly and caring towards the guy he likes is either the hardest thing to do or just a game to him.

I'll admit that Mo wasn't exactly the best guy around at first and definitely needed character development, but his bad behavior didn't hold a candle to Tian's weird behavior towards him, even if he "had good intentions" or "was a victim, too." So, now that Mo got his development, Tian is due for some as well.

@BeyondParasolTrees The funny thing is they didn't even "become" friends. One chapter all three of them are pinning Mo down and twisting his ba***, and then the immediate next chapter, the same three are hanging around Mo acting like they're friends. The author couldn't be bothered to show this friendship developing, so they just skipped over that to get what they wanted.

So, to be frank, they never became friends because the author was lazy.

@Venice Perez Here's some advice when reading this series: DON'T READ THE COMMENTS. They're gonna be wishy-washy no matter what. They don't understand set-ups and payoffs in writing, and will expect characters to be written one-dimensionally since that's what they're used to on this website (yes, someone has to say it). Analyze and appreciate each main character in your own way, and your reading will be easier.
