In terms of who's worse one this Reinhart is a villainess made by her surroundings driven by grief for her life and loved ones and should not get away with it

@Copy you are not going to victim blame here yes he shouldn't be hurting himself but it's done in self-wallowing
She had no reason to talk to him when she was not only dealing with a death but then his response is turn around and threatened a redeemed companion of hers and the attempt to stop his harm again got her in the hospital

One we don't know how long it's been nor how aging works in novel so uncomfortable cause the bear raised pup but as far as I can tell both go by the first name so caregiver/adopted ward
In aspect of ra** then it's technically bear who's been on all accounts raped not pup regardless of age or knowledge of what their doing (even if you state he's stronger than pup he could have stopped it; the novel acknowledges pup was doing it during hibernation)
The characters are following the laws of their animal counterpart (bear hibernating and that being an commonly accepted thing) so maybe calculate ages by animal years and appearance
