Even if not physically and power level OP.
1) Her backing and family name got the MC into the college of his dreams without needing to apply personally.
2) When a rich and powerful person tried strong arming the MC into being subordinate to his family to exploit him for Beast Blood.
Just hearing the FL's name was enough to cow him into submission.

So ... even if not physical protection. Is rich and socially / politically powerful to to give him protection and open doors in other important areas of life. To open a flower path with little actual hardships. So he can focus on leveling up and growing stronger.
