if anyone watched hotel de luna remember how it's said that souls begin to forget memories as they cross the bridge to afterlife? i think the river is after the ridge seeing how his memories are erased though not fully as it's said in the drama series they lose part by part of their memories with the most recent going first and the longest like childhood going the last ,maybe that's why he lost only the memories with the dragon
