Besides the romance , for Me personally the story is complicated n I understand but I still feel more bad for ml bc I have had someone in my family from the military and they died by suicide so I feel ml has suffered alot ,he had to go through unauthorised medical treatment for his metal state after war that worsed his condition , fl almost ran away with the doctor ,ml must hv felt betrayal in his most vulnerable state ... In second life ,he again faced so much trouble ,the trauma must be so heavy ..it's not easy to recover , people seemed to hv missed that..ml tried to save fl even when his dear sister was involved  but to save jake who only caused trouble for her n fl , she said jake was a good person but that doesn't mean what he did wasn't a crime, fl supported isabel without knowing what she was actually , nursed jake in mls resident  without his knowledge, claimed she didn't want to repeat the past but reached out to ml again and gave him hope only to throw it away again , it's pathetic and sad love
maybe everyone sides with fl in these stories bc most readers are females and so obviously we will see from female pov but we should see from male pov once ,if I was in his place I would be miserable, in my opinion  fl is not someone I agree with and sometimes she pis*** me with her decision , well it seems in the next chapters she will date a new dude , I wonder what will happen I just hope of she is meeting new people they have someone for ml too or if not don't protract him as being troubled but witnessing fl with someone n seem like he's the only one who could forget their past

"If I was in his place I would feel miserable" She's the one that got locked up, she's the one that try to make the relationship work first while Ian was acting like a spoiled bi***. Ian's trauma might not be his fault but it was definitely his responsibility to get better.

@Tash not her responsibility but she's is not entirely clean don't blame her it's just the situation sucks , it was tough for him and living with someone with metal issues is not easy ,I just feel bad that ppl don't seem to understand the depth ,I just wished she did give him abit more time or not give in to the doctor who was torturing him , like a spouse is expected to be supportive even in the most miserable time , she didn't cheat but it still fell like it ...
Wel nevermind that u know diff ppl r allowed to interpret and think different of the same situation , we take things diff bc we hv diff experiences , like I relate to him so I resolate with ml more than fl even tho I m a woman ,so calling me stupid bc u don't agree is quite childish n not proper 
In conclusion I don't care if fl ends up with ml , I don't care Abt fl ,I just want ml to find his happiness by himself or with anyone else i honestly think ml can do better, I hope he finds someone else ... And I hope the doctor pays for experimenting and torturing ml I wonder will his crimes come to light will fl ever know what the doctor did ?
