in the novel, yooyoung was found (no drowning involve tho, if i have remembered it correctly) and stayed with the prince. technically the novel's endings is, yooyoung forgave the prince for everything and they had their own fuc*** up version of happily ever after. its fuc*** up bcs after everything the prince had done to yooyoung he still forgave the prince and stayed with him until the end.
