So this is whats called DID(dissociative identity disorder) (I was diagnosed with this), and basically due to repeating trauma, the personality traits split at a young age, and Im assuming that at the beginning, he was whats called the 'inner world', or thats what theyre usually called, but basically, its like a home for the alter(s). The personality is more of an identity, being its own person but inside the same body, its super complicating, but they dont share memories or anything, and its really hard to be aware or even communicate. The alters can have their own gender identities, ages, names, etc.

@skunk wanna ask (idk much abt DID and bookish Lang is hard ).. so the other person in him is actually a different person??not his own personality???
@Leo yeah. it's not a personality, it's an identity. For example, Bob can still get mad without another identity (they're called alters) fronting (that means taking control of the body). Bob and Jay are two different people but in the same body. that's what did is, and usually alters can have some role, there are role names like 'persecutor' and 'caretaker', etc, but not all of them do. (i made up these names for the example) if you have any more questions, lm
