@Pipotito i think that prince went to the afterlife and then came back thats why he is investigating. How he went to after life and came back alive when he was young.

@Pipotito He thinks that finding out why these ghosts are haunting the prince would help him win the prince's heart. Which he needs to remove the "punishment" of him transforming to a dog.
