This should be a wake up call to the Cladiniers to start rebellion against the king cause untill Meisa is under their protection, that king is a threat to them both. If the king is killed (who btw has no heir to the throne), leaves Meisa the only royal blood left, and can maybe reveal her true self and rule along side eric.
