LISTEN UP PEOPLE!! yes the darker haired guy did absolutely horrible things to our mc and should not be justified but they've both been through EXTREMELY HORRIBLE ENVIRONMENTS as children that included neglecting and manipulating. right now our mc is thriving in his dad's approval and care because he's never felt it in his childhood— an emotional response to heavy expectations and constantly being pointed out of your flaws as a child. due to the darker haired guy resorting to toxic and unhealthy ways to try to make himself feel better after a conflict, our mc is unconsciously doing the same— especially after the praise from his father. what they're doing is NOT JUSTIFIED IN ANY WAY!! NO ONE SHOULD EVER HAVE TO GO THROUGH THIS TYPE OF BULLYING NO MATTER WHAT!! THE DUO JUST DIDNT GO THROUGH THE HEALTHY WAY TO FIX CONFLICTS BECAUSE THEY'VE NEVER EXPERIENCED HEALTHY WAYS TO DEAL WITH MANIPULATION OR NEGLECTION!!! hopefully this made sense lmao
