The 16th birthday of the first prince is the beginning of the original book but Varya and Phileo meet earlier. Phileo was supposed to attend the banquet alone but suddenly Count Erbanu (Varya’s dad) told Paul to bring her precious daughter back to him. When Phileo went home, the two noticed that he’s in bad mood. Varya got to learn it’s because of her dad. So she asked Phileo to bring her to the banquet so she’ll clarify everything to her parents and everyone because her father spread a word that Phileo took her so Phileo agreed.

A week before the banquet, Varya and Leo was so stressed because they still haven’t found the right dress for her. The only dress in the estate is Leo’s dress but it won’t fit on Varya. Phileo then offered the dress in the treasury room or something. The gown was nice cause it’s black (symbol of Boreoti) and it also has slits on the legs so everytime Varya took a stride, her legs would show up 😏

Varya was so against about wearing the dress but the two did not listen. Phileo personally picked her black dangling earrings and he even tied her hair which made her blush.So it’s already the banquet, Leo made the servant announce their arrival with his loudest voice. So everyone look at him. They started murmuring that Leo is already handling the affair of the dukedom that she can already be Phileo's proxy during special time like this. Northern nobles greeted her and they’re very curious about Varya. Leo then bragged that her clothes was picked personally by Phileo. The quick witted ones immediately noticed what was Leo trying to say (Varya blushed because everyone misunderstood her as Phileo's lover)

@Introvert did you read the novel? If so in raw or translated? I had found a tranlation group that did the novel but they stopped just before the time skip.

Count Erbanu went to talk to Varya in front of Leo which irritated Leo. She started talking to Marquis Pardus and said that some ill mannered person is talking in front of her (the count was supposed to greet Leo before Varya cause Leo is on higher position than Varya) Count got so embarassed but Leo did not stop insulting him (he was the reason of Varya’s death)

The imperial family got to hear about the commotion and Empress was so proud of her future daughter in law!

Varya and Leo then went to the balcony to sober up when Rota and Remus came to them. They learned their lesson and greeted Leo first before Varya. Rotta started acting like a green tea bi*** to earn the sympathy of others. Leo was so furious but Remus said it was family matter. Then Phileo arrived, he pull Varya on his arm and said “I was just away and you’re bullying my woman” 🤭🤭something like that. The banquet hall went silent then Leo asked “how come he arrived early than expected” Paul just said he run like crazy. Leo nod cause even though he’s extremely handsome on his suit, his hair was flying everywhere. Phileo then said that your family problem must be more important than the banquet because they did not look for some other time to fix it. The two blushed they weren’t able to achieve what they want to achieve.
