I think I get it now after rereading this a few times. The ring might actually be Delkira’s will and it chooses whoever is destined to be the next Demon King, just like in the prophecy, and then guides them. But no one really knows what actually happened to Delkira yet. Still, we all know Iruma is the one the prophecy is pointing to 👀
