As shocking as it is, it makes sense BECAUSE he's been going on and on about how he likes her. She doesn't want to misunderstand about if the other guy likes her or not, and he obviously does. He's being straightforward, which may seem like a warning to some, but it's what she's looking for. He also doesn't go to the same school as Bunny, so they wouldn't be a cc, which she doesn't want due to... past events. *shudders*
