fun fact: english is considered to not have honorifics for "you", but in older forms of modern english, thats what thou/thee was used for

@eesh Funner actual fact. Thou was considered informal with those you are familiar with, close to, mainly family and some close friends. You was considered more formal and used with non-family members and those you were not close to. Until eventually you just became the catch all and replaced thee, thou, thine. It was never an honorific. Some think it was because it was used in the bible to refer to G-o-d, but that was because g** is the father, and the translaters used the pronoun that would go with what you would call your father. Also movies make it sound like formal speech.
