People need to stop complaining about how he looks. Just because a guy is pretty or has more “feminine” features doesn’t make him any less of a man. Y’all act like “handsome” is only for masculine men and “beautiful” is only for women, when that’s literally just how society labeled it.
And another thing—how someone looks does NOT automatically tell you their sexuality or gender. A guy can look feminine and still be straight, gay, bi, whatever. Same way women can look more masculine. People are just born like that.
What’s really weird is how, in fandoms, the moment a male character is drawn pretty, people start saying he was “meant to be a girl” or that he’s weak or the author is trying to feminize him. Like… no. The author can design their character however they want. That’s THEIR work.
And honestly, part of his whole character is that his looks give him access to things other guys wouldn’t get. That’s literally part of the story.
A lot of the hate lowkey comes from homophobia and transphobia. People see someone attractive, assume they’re a woman, and then get mad when they find out they’re not. And instead of checking themselves, they take it out on that person.
Same thing happens to masculine-looking women—people tear them down for not fitting into what they think femininity should look like.
At the end of the day, stop making assumptions based on looks. A guy being pretty doesn’t make him less of a man. The author didn’t mess up. Y’all are just projecting.
