Varya became so angry that she truly wanted to kill Lemus herself. Tears filled her eyes as she imagined everything Leo had suffered through. Phileo gently held her hands and thanked her for caring about Leo so deeply. Leo hugged Varya tightly and thanked her too. Leo explained that although learning the truth about her birth once hurt her deeply, she had healed over time because she had Phileo beside her. In the end, she believed that being Phileo’s daughter was what truly mattered.

He admitted that he truly loved Varya and could see a future with her. However, he also honestly explained that Leo would always come first in his life because he was her father. Leo tried to stop him from saying something so harsh, but Phileo insisted on being honest because his role as Leo’s father was the most important part of who he was. Phileo finally confessed his feelings to Varya. He explained that his love for Varya and his daughter Leo was different, but both were very important to him. As a father, Leo would always be his first responsibility until she became independent. Even so, he sincerely told Varya that he still loved her and wanted to be with her. His confession was thoughtful and respectful, giving her the freedom to refuse if she wished.
Varya was deeply touched by his words. She told Phileo that he was one of the most amazing people she had ever met and not because he was the powerful ruler of the North, but because he was a caring father, a respected leader, and a kind person. She admitted that his confession meant more to her than any other she had ever received and happily said that she felt the same way. Leo became extremely excited and celebrated when she heard that Varya accepted Phileo's feelings. However, Varya then said she needed more time before starting a relationship. This confused both Phileo and Leo. Varya explained that if she became involved with Phileo, her relationship with Leo would also change. She cared deeply for Leo and wanted time to prepare herself for that new role. She made it clear that she was not trying to replace Leo's mother, but she wanted to build a stronger bond with her. When Varya asked Leo if that was okay, Leo shyly agreed. She then honestly said that she hoped she could call Varya her mother someday. Varya blushed at the comment but warmly hugged Leo. Phileo watched them with a happy smile, feeling that everything was moving in the right direction.
