I understand that the story needed a s*x scene where the affection level didn't go up, but the way it was handled felt unnecessary, and the author is really hurting the likability of the 1st ML. As for this scene with the 2nd ML, I think it's interesting because it seems like a critique of how it's easier to love an AI than a real person. But the way the author keeps hurting the 1st ML's likability also weakens that critique. Assuming that's actually what the author intended, of course.
