@Death I've searched for you : yes there is a novel and you can read it on novelbuddy but for what I saw it's not as advanced as the manhua, at least not on this platform
@Death the latest chapter on novel buddy is 481 and it's approximately the chap 222 of the manhua

Personally I use chrome's reading mode to listen while checking her to get the images in mind.
However there is no scythe in the novel, and several things have been skipped or adjusted here, probably to make it easier to draw.
