So when MC realize ML actually started this relationship with MC not because of a pure intention of love, but because his bet with his friends, then MC (who actually in pure love and had faith for ML) will suffer from heart broken situation and will loss all his faith for ML.
Surely then ML realize how much he is in love with MC and how heart broken to see MC who totally lost faith and love with him. (ML) I'm sure therein after no matter how much ML appear and approach to MC, MC will keep reject him until the author has to use a backup story to make them lovers again.
And then, ML will surely suffer and suffer than MC, and surely realize how stupid his past actions were. Then he will start to approach to MC with pure intentions of love, but since MC keep reject ML, readers will take pity about ML.
I'm 90% sure this is how this story gonna happen.
