I actually agree with Jaekyung for once - What Heesung does is worse because it's manipulative. I find it ironic that both of them see each other as the penultimate 'scumbag' but the difference is, one of them refuses to give his partners false hope, while the other uses ppl's emotions like a gift card with a limit. Jaekyung is an a$$hole, but he's one to your face and you know what you're getting into, even if it's a sh*tty situation. Heesung on the other hand disguises his ulterior motives with pretty gifts and a smiling face, while not caring if his target is a free agent or taken by someone else. He's a master of manipulation as we clearly saw through his "back injury" fiasco, so he's definitely had plenty of practice to fine-tune this skill. He also picked up on Doc Dan's kind-hearted nature and eagerness to be good at his occupation, and is using that to his advantage.
With that said, both are still narcissistic and self-serving, so I guess it's true when they say, "Birds of a feather flock together." While not really being "friends," both are acquainted enough to share personal secrets and s**-capades. They compare each other's dirty laundry, but both are doing less than savory things. Dirt is dirt, no matter which way you look at it. Doc Dan unfortunately, is the laundry bag...🥺
