@se** seal it's possible that the "possession" did physically alter her brain chemical to accommodate her new mind/consciousness so the withdrawal symptoms might not affect her as much as it should.

@coco2545 I like your interpretation a lot. Addiction restructures the brain, diminishing the neuroreceptors' sensibility to the drugs. So it's really not far fetched, when talking about transmigration, that a new personality would require what is essentially brain swapping, entire neuronal structures included.
