Hmmm.... He should know his family's fate once he escape and be targeted by that ninth princess. He's going to kill them instead of saving them. It's not like he can really escape, he tried once but was captured by that princess and their necks are on her hands. If he manage to escape and hide with his family, he and his whole family would literally be found and killed.
