There are 3 more chapters to the side stories, they were released a while ago but aren’t translated yet (at least from what I could find). I just “read” them (rlly just looked at what was illustrated cause I was not abt to try translate it myself. This is what happens/what I saw.
SPOILER (ITS NO LETTING ME HIDE THE TEXT)
Maximillian is 100% dead obviously. Jean is just passed out so he’s in a dream/hallucination. They talk for a long time, not sure what but Jean keeps crying. Near the end of the story, Maximillian is comforting Jean and their hugging. Maximillian is probs trying to cheer Jean up. Jean wakes up and he cries as he looks out of the window to the street where the kids look happier. Last panel is the tiger painting that is now in Jean’s office.
