Idk why nobody understands that Dorothea acts this mean to her brother bcs he is annoying, ignorant,and oblivious? I mean he's always so pushy,even sometimes says things that would be hurtful for a neglected child. I mean,yeah sure, he's bright and little sunshine,the golden child that is, but he's so ignorant and only thinks of how he's worried of her yada yada but doesn't even listen to Dorothea when she tells she wants to be alone. It's like he's doing things only for his own gratification and satisfaction but never for Dorothea's own wishes and wants. That is why she's being distant bcs she's afraid if she sticks by her so called family, she'll repeat her mistakes bcs it started from his envy of his golden child brother and the constant need to get validation from her father, which then lead to her greed to get Theon. And her feellings for Theon and moving on from him is taking more toll on her bcs there's nothing really she can do more to separate herself from her family unless she abdicate her position as a princess and leave and cut ties with them unlike when she stay away from Theon who died in their previous life as well as all the other innocent ppl around him.
