Comment on ChapterYancha Gal No Anjou-San - Chapter 130

Aight let me sum this up, nice and easy.

Dude's the usual low self esteem and the girl is hyper somewhat into him, maybe 10% the rest is toying around with him because she can.
There are 100+ chapters of this guy being slowly growing a backbone....just kidding he has 6 panels of actually character development and expressing he's thoughts and feelings through his inate low self esteem....and that's it folks! The rest of it is a copy paste of the chapter 1 all the way to 120+

Calm down, I know what you're thinking, it's a very slow burn with a huge pay off or multiple tiny wins one at a time, characters going through the motions, nein, no no, the moment you think there's progress, story wise or character development wise, everything takes 5 steps back and then a backflip.
All in one sentence? You know the classic the girl drops her guard and through her shyness asks the guy to take lead and go in for a kiss or really anything but the guy says "on no someone might see us" (insert lack of backbone excuse here), thaaat's it right here.

Basically nothing happens..even after he musters all his growth and breaks all his insecurities and fears he's still basically a coward.

Art is amazing! and consistent and the backgrounds sometime stand out, that's why it sucks to bad when characters have to pay the price of horrible writing when the visuals are so good.

Fight me on this, leave me a comment.

You are not wrong. It's not a bad read, I've read it all in 4 days or so and I liked it quite a lot. I like the support crew, I think Soto is a OK mc and I feel Anjou has a solid reason to be attracted to Soto... but all of these and more would hardly take 50 solid chapters. Well, don't hate the player, hate the game.

There's nothing to fight, manga publishers, specially the editors like to "stretch" it. This is a well known fact about mangas for a lot of time, drafts tend to be more proactive in their storytelling but once it gets filtered and revised there's always extra content, SPECIALLY with romcoms, where a random situation can become a single chapter where no actual "development" is shown, and this is what you always experience in these kind of mangas, you just have to bear the inconsequential little stories because they become a "photographic collage" whenever the plot moves a little inch, just like when Sato confessed, all the random little chapters came to his mind.
