@YAOI well in the novel, mc was hurt by those guys and general saved him and then he ran away with the horse... no water thing happened I believe and he was rescued by a merchant and he lived with him for quite some time... while Prince was being a maniac trying to find him... also he didn't stab himself or anything... but i like this version more
