@Assnow Stop normalising violence as an act of affection. That's why a lot of people, and women in particular, think it's okay when their partner raises a hand on them. We've been taught since childhood that, when a boy bullies you, it's because he likes you. Well, at my first job, my male colleague was also picking on me all the time, and even talked about how he'd rаре me, but all his mother (my boss) said was that he just likes me. Even if it seems like a harmless joke from ONE family member, the person is still subjected to emotional neglect since they were a child, basically since birth. She's been bullied and neglected by all of the family members, not just one.

@foreveryyonug I completely agree with you. My cousins also used to ignore me so many times whereas they would have no problems getting along with my older brother and let me tell you, it was not a pleasant experience not being heard any time I tried to get along. I know my situation isn't as bad but it still hurts. I hope you got out of that toxic company/environment.💟

@ilovecookies I hope you got out of this unpleasant experience and environment yourself, it must've felt difficult. I don't have siblings, so i can't fully sympathise with you, but i can imagine the feeling. And yeah, i got out of it many years ago, it was at my first ever job after graduating, but i still quit not even a year into the job because of that, though should've had reported to the police as well.

 I know this reply is late and so not that needed, but I had started feeling guilty with how things are now. I don't wanna disclose too many details, but the situation with my siblings (cousins) has gotten 100 times better, and we’re closer now(having phone calls, hanging out, etc). Some of them have even hinted that I'm their fav youngest sibling :)

Idk if anyone cares enough to read this, but I just had to write this reply to make myself feel a little more at ease.
