@CyberPhoenix Maybe all the concubines in the harem are older than Shuraka because it's a harem that was inherited by him? Are they concubines of his father/older brothers? Many of them could have been much younger than his father/older brothers, but older than Shuraka.
Well, or maybe I just prefer to think that this is not his harem.

@CyberPhoenix it's probably the same like in the old China. Where you have multiple concubines not only for the Guarantee for an (male) heir but also for political advances. Like I would be the emperor and take you as example as my concubine because you are the daughter of a pretty influencal family and it's good for both parties not really for you the concubine you didn't really got asked about your opinion. But some times commoner woman would go to the palace to get favor of the emperor in hopes that they could get a better status for the family and shît. I could mixed up some stuff but it should be about right and I hope it helped a bit
