@Let me eat your hole If you think about it, Aaron’s mental health was foreshadowed multiple times. Not to mention the signs of him being unwell, such as difficulty expressing emotion and being “calm” all the time. If you reread the story, you might see that this is actually in line with what was going on.
In my own comment, I explain it more but I’ll keep this short:
Yujin was Aaron’s first working fix for his trauma induced insomnia. Going without sleep for a very long time like Aaron really f*s your mental health, and he wasn’t healthy to begin with. In the flashbacks of his life, you could see how he was raised, and how it was terrible. Yujin being his fix suddenly disappeared, leaving him unable to sleep and going into a mental breakdown.
@Ren And I fully see your point I do remember the beginning and Yujin is like a fix to his trauma and losing that fix brought back the trauma and made him desperate to get that fix back I see that although I highly stand against him acting as irrational as kidnapping him, locking him up and r@ping him because his fix could've potentially stayed if he went a different route instead he now caused Yujin slowly hate him so that he could use this way of locking him up make him desperate for human interaction with the only human available aka Aaron but I do see your point hun
@Let me eat your hole I’m not defending his actions btw. I just think this is a well written way to describe severe trauma responses (on the severe end) in this situation. To me, the r*pe scenes didn’t feel like a fetish, but a way to express how the author is showing that Aaron has had a severe mental illness this entire time, just having been better at hiding it.
@Ren no no I totally get what you meant and I agree 1000% you good😭
