Ch. 30

Despite what anyone says, I can't bring myself to dislike the Mc. He's an orphan omega who's been alone his whole life- no family, no friends and constantly being rejected. His life revolves around working just to afford food and housing, and at his age he only truly has one friend- his roommate.

Asel finds ml, someone he strongly feels the wants to be close with, and someone who's been nice to him without asking for anything in return (difference in the way poor omegas, or omegas in general, are treated) even when he's rejected, it's not in a demeaning manner, and Asel understands because he himself feels inadequate for someone like Mr. Choi.
But despite his low self esteem, he still likes him, feelings aren't something you can just turn off.

Asel gets pregnant and I'll forever stand with him because he's young, poor, no strong relations to help, and didn't want any of this. On top of that the father of the baby, who happens to be the man he likes, is doubting the credibility.
And even if Mr. Choi is nice, to be perceived as a naive, (probably) gold digger by someone you place on a high pedestal and want their approval so bad, while being someone like Asel, who's faced rejection so many times that you expect the worst (despite how young you are) It's does things to someone mentally.

You may think mc is dumb, annoying, and naive but he's the opposite.
He knows ml sees him in a non romantic light and is trying to respect that (we see as he distance himself after they slept together)
He also reluctantly contacts Mr.Choi, scares of being perceived as annoying to the one person he craves validation from.
Asel is also contemplating getting an abortion, because he knows the life he lived (i think this choice of word "lived" in Asel's dialogue is important because despite how young he is, he already feels like his life is over- in the sense that he's never moving forward from where he is) and he doesn't want that for the child, in his inner monologue we can derive that he's already thinking of what will happen to the baby whether or not Mr.Choi accepts responsibility)

And to add to this, he's never been able to think and speak freely and passionately (may be because of his status, secondary gender or both) that's why he's so nervous conversing all the time, especially to someone older, more loved and far more accomplished than he will ever be.

Because of these reasons, i can't bring myself to find Asel annoying at all.

@Resident HimeFujo Facts. Absolutely right. The MC has done nothing wrong. Who wouldn't cling to a bit of warmth? Hold a little hope even when you know better. I hope this works out for him whatever he decides
@Resident HimeFujo so true! I am also 20 and if something like this were to happen with me within a year I would act more nervous and anxious
