@vixin Because they all bring something that the empress hasn't brought yet??? That's literally the only reason he married them, and as soon as MC was able to replace their worth (the relationship with Yulan kingdom and the reputation with the nobles of Chariot) they were discarded. MC is great, but she isn't doing everything, and until she can those of value are gonna stay to benefit the empire
