This is the one thing that frustrates me about Blue Lock the most. Every time Isagi finally got it and finally reached the stage of surpassing everyone the author rips it from him with some plot twist and he's back at square one. I like that it makes the story more engaging and doesn't just hand Isagi the easy road and I'm not expecting Isagi to just win without a challenge but like.. can Isagi just have an easy match just once without a step back.. : ' )

@doubleG I hear you fam but isagi actually hasn’t taken a step back. He’s been taking steps forward. It seems like a step back because he’s running up against another challenge and his fellow rivals have grown. But Isagi’s biggest competition is himself, and on that in this manga he’s improved every step of the way.

@bachisagi everyone else has been rapidly evolving, everyond is like 5 steps in front of isagi, everyone has more evolved or better versions of what they had from the start, and some people picked up another weapon, but isagi, he copied kaisers weapon, he is so far behind in evolving, hes good at thinking but not actually doing sh**.
The author doesnt spend enough time on isagi, all the other characters are more unique, interesting, but isagi is basic af, with 1 weapon that 3 others have, hes only made it so far because of plot armour
