Fun fact: the block of ice is actually quite inefficient at cooling a room fire to its depressingly low surface area to cool air with. Creating another metal block with a high thermal conductivity like copper with a solid surface on top and thin fins at the bottomwould allow much more efficient gray transfer between the air and ice. Blow air through it and you've made the exact inverse of a CPU cooler.
