I think she's being a bit much, but I'm on her side here. Ray has no idea how spoiled and entitled he is. He complains about being forced to study to take a throne she'll never be allowed to touch, he whines about being stuck at a school she was barred from going to because they knew she'd easily show him up is, she constantly asked him for more space and he constantly ignored that and followed her around like a puppy. No matter how much she asked him to stop or to think things through, or to stop whining, he kept doing it, kept bothering and harassing her, and kept unintentionally shoving it in her face that he'll be handed things she can't aquire no matter how hard she tries, so she ran away to avoid him because she knew he'd never listen to her or change.
Her not even reading his letter was cruel I'll admit, and I don't disagree with him coming to visit, but what did he do when they reunited? Found out she loved sword fighting, that she was joining a competition for it, then joined up for it without talking to her about it, looked down on her by assuming he would win thinking it would make her look up to him, when in reality if he had won all it would have done is made her feel like he had to show off that he's better than her at the one singular thing she'd managed to find joy in, to demonstrate that she couldn't even have that one small thing to call her own without him stealing it from her. Then he was condescending, assuming he needed to hold back or that she would collapse at the slightest pain. Then when she stormed off, rightfully angry, he ran after her recklessly, his carelessness directly resulting in her winding up injured protecting himself from his own stupidity, causing her to not be able to participate in the one thing she liked for months, with risk of being unable to do it ever again. 1/2
