Basically, they gave a sh** presentation okay but they weren't saddened about everyone's attitude at it. In the presentation they talked about ghosts appearing at midnight and everyone was disappointed becuz like that's just crazy talk right they had high expectations becuz the team has Eruki and Shirone. So at midnight. They did the photon output thing with Nades holographic images and stuff and Eruki's calculations, they made holographic structures of ghosts, they did it at midnight and so then people thought they were hallucinating but they weren't and they were scared to death then they believed that there were actually ghosts haunting the school:)
