Idk if you remember, but after Killian and MC had s** the first time, MC unlocked a stage. There are 3 stages, and after each one Killian gets to be independent of the story. Right now, I think they've only unlocked the 1st stage and around the 2nd stage is going to be completed, the story will reveal what this is and what is going on. (Should be in the next ~5 chapters)

So basically these random acts of love are actually Killian's 'true thoughs' and the reason he keeps on having headaches is b/c he only gets to feel that way about 25% of the time or so before the story retakes control of him.
