@pusheenthecat So, in the present the protagonists are both adults working in the same field. The top is coercing the bottom to have a sēxual relationship because he wants to punish him for their common past. In a long flashback we learn that 10 years before this, when they were classmates, they had a loving yet brief relationship, but the bottom was forced to leave the top (and he choose to push him away with harsh words and run away from him) by a 3rd character, the antagonist, that rāped him and is, since then till the present, forcing him to have regular sēxual encounters with him because he's guilt-tripping the bottom due to the death of his love interest.
