I kind of like the development because it's more realistic. People can't change a whole lot within a year. Heck most of the time people take a lifetime to  change even little bit. Especially considering the trauma and G** awful stuff that she was put through. She is stronger than most people would be in her situation.  She doesn't have to turn in to a kick a** who's cold, conquering and manipulation. That would be a bad personality transplant. because this is about a normal person who was traumatized by her husband and everyone near her. Then she was slaughtered. Now she has to pick up the pieces as well as do a mission as well as try to figure out who she is now.  The main male lead is trying to figure out how to deal  with something he never has before and his elegance and pride it's going to make it hard for him. So yeah she'll probably fall first and he'll probably fall harder that's usually how this works. They both have to work on their self.  She not the type of mc who will just turn into a weird cold calculating badass who got magical because that's never what's her character was. Her development cannot be like that because it would be wrong and one sided. There are multiple type of strength.Not every badass mc is kick-a** cold calculating manipulating type of character. Some new characters have to go slowly has to deal with the trauma not only society but their own trauma has given them and it's not easy and it's not going to be as dramatic as people wish it would be. I do think she will find her own but I also think that right now she needs a rock and that's what the main love interest is right now.
