I thought that when he pulls out hus orb he would lose all skills. As the picture shows him using running arts I guess thats a mistake. It could also be plot armor use what ever you want to progress the story with out much thought.

@Joe_Cebu he only took it out to lure the dragon then put it back in, so I dont see any problem with using the skills at all
@Joe_Cebu he took it out to test the dragon then put it back in. I'm going with the orb is a hard drive that has all the skills he's got saved to.
